Upstairs In The Sky @ The Lighthouse, Poole

Quicksilver Theatre, in association with the Lighthouse Theatre, Poole, will be presenting "Upstairs in the Sky" at the Lighthouse Theatre this September. This gentle, heart-warming play about family love will take you on an imaginary journey through a dark, dark wood, up a tall, tall tower to a beautiful magical cloudscape. Performed with open-ended play materials, to create the world of the play in children's imaginations. It's Claytime!

Carey English, Quicksilver's Joint Artistic Director recently directed CLAYTIME a new play by Indefinite Articles for 3-6 year olds. Carey devised the show with Steve Tiplady, Sally Brown and Giles Leaman, and had a great time playing with clay and getting very muddy in the process! CLAYTIME is 'open', interactive theatre created for 3-6 year olds. Each performance is unique: the story, setting and characters are spontaneously suggested by the audience and modelled out of a mound of clay by the performers. The children's story is then brought to life through an improvised play performed to music. Afterwards, children are invited to play together on stage alongside the performers to make their own wonderful worlds of 'amazing animals', 'morphing monsters' and 'lyrical landscapes' from clay.
